STUDYING IN ENGLAND

We offer courses for both students and teachers of English as a second language or foreign language endorsed by the BRITISH COUNCIL

A. Individuals:

General English
Business English
Preparation for International Exams

B. Courses for teachers:

Development of English as a Foreign Language
Methodology of Teaching English as a Second Language / Foreign Language
For English teachers: CITE- ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING

DURATION: Three weeks is the minimum duration. The level to which you participate depends on the results obtained in the "placement test" at the beginning of the course. Therefore, candidates are placed in the most appropriate course according to their level of English and self-interest. What time load do our courses have? TIME LOAD: All students attend their classes 3 hours in the morning, two in the afternoon.

CLASS FOCUS: in the morning focus on the development of the four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking). They are guided by a tutor in charge of the group, in the first phase of the morning, and a second teacher during the second phase of the afternoon.

Once located at their corresponding level, students attend their morning classes with the same group of classmates throughout their course. It is worth noting that, if necessary, students can be transferred to a higher / lower level according to their needs.

In the afternoon, students have the possibility to choose an option they most want. In these options students have the opportunity to focus their language needs in the area that interests them most. In addition, this offers them the possibility of inserting themselves into another class different from the one in the morning, where they have the possibility of continuing to meet people from other countries of the world and having their class with another different teacher.

COURSE ACCREDITATION: All participants receive a detailed written report prepared by the main tutor in conjunction with the other teachers. It details the candidate's performance in various aspects of the language, as well as their inter/intrapersonal development during the course. On the other hand, all students also obtain a Certificate of End of Course, with international validity.

Our courses are endorsed by the BRITISH COUNCIL
STAY / ACCOMMODATION: All participants in the short course programs are housed in English families with half board from Monday to Friday and full board on Saturdays and Sundays. This offers them the possibility of not only continuing to develop their English outside the classroom, but also making new friends and knowing important aspects of a culture different from ours.

How far from Chichester College are the various accommodation options?

Both families and Chichester College residences are located on a periphery that is possible to cover on foot in a maximum of 30 minutes or should you travel by bus or train.

What guarantees do participants have to be housed in an optimal environment?

All families are inspected and eventually selected carefully by employees of the Chichester College Accommodation Office. Families have vast experience in receiving foreign students.

In the case of student residences, they comply with all the standards required by the corresponding British institution.

Can students share the home they have chosen with other students, from their own country or from another?

It has always been optimized to accommodate pupils who speak a certain language with pupils from a different mother tongue. This helps to develop English outside the classroom. However, students may choose to share their room / house with another pupil of the same nationality / mother tongue. It is worth noting that all students can choose not to share their room with anyone.

Can candidates select their family type?

At the time of enrolling in the course, all candidates who are going to stay with English families must select different parameters that they consider appropriate for their future stay. Although these are respected as much as possible, priority is always given to those details that guarantee a socio-culturally optimal insertion in the nucleus of an English family, such as: unwanted food, absence of pets inside the house, environments for No smoking, etc.
